Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and Sawan Patodia, an individual based in India, who operates The Travellers App (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Who can use the app

You must be at least 18 years old. You are responsible for your account and for keeping access to your email secure, since sign-in codes are sent there. One person, one account.

Your content

You own what you post: questions, answers, tips, photos, visits, check-ins and messages. You give us permission to store it and show it to other users as the app is designed to, for as long as it stays on the service. You must have the right to post it, including the right to share photos of other people who appear in them.

Rules of conduct

There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour. You must not:

• harass, threaten, stalk or bully anyone;
• post content that is hateful, sexually explicit, violent or illegal;
• impersonate another person or misrepresent who you are;
• share someone else’s private information, including their location, without their consent;
• send spam, advertising or scams;
• use the app for commercial solicitation or to collect other users’ data;
• try to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to the service.

Reporting and blocking

You can report a person, question, answer or conversation from inside the app, and block anyone so that they can no longer contact you. We review reports and act on them, which may include removing content and suspending or closing the account responsible. You can also write to support@thetravellersapp.com.

Meeting other people

The Travellers App helps travellers find each other, but we do not verify who users are or run background checks. You are responsible for your own safety. Meet in public places, tell someone where you are going, and trust your judgement. Advice from other users about places, stays or travel is their opinion, not ours; check anything important yourself.

Location

Check-ins show other users where you are. Only check in when you are comfortable sharing that, and choose the audience accordingly. How location is handled is described in the Privacy Policy.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time; see the account deletion page. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts other users at risk.

The service

The app is provided as it is. We work to keep it available and accurate but do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or free of errors, and features may change. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, for the conduct of other users, or for anything that happens when you meet people or act on information found through the app. Nothing here limits rights you have under law that cannot be waived.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the date above and tell you in the app if the change is significant. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes are subject to the courts of India.
