Visit Brandenburg Gate

This is another landmark which sums up the drama of the 20th century and it is the meeting place of the German Parliament. This is a Neo-Baroque building and it was damaged during the infamous and historic fire in 1933. After the Berlin Wall fell, Norman Foster began a restoration project which resurrects the Reichstag as an emblem of a unified Germany. The highlight of the landmark is the new glass dome where you can look down the debating chamber and also get a panoramic view of Berlin’s cityscape. Visit the Berlin Wall Memorial and Checkpoint Charlie
This was built in 1961 when East Germany sealed off half of the city to prevent the citizens from fleeing to West Germany. The wall extends to 155km and it dissected 55 streets and it homes 293 observation towers and 57 bunkers before it was torn down in 1989. Today, you will get to see small stretches of this graffiti-covered travesty which also includes 1.4km stretch that is preserved as part of the Berlin Wall Memorial. The highlight of this attraction is the Marienfelde Refugee center museum, the window of remembrance, a monument in memory of the divided city and the victims of communist tyranny, there is also the visitor center where you will get a view over the remains of the wall. This is located in the southeast of Berlin and the best time to come here is at summer when the park is at its peak and the activity you can do here is to stroll the 4km on the riverside or you can even go on a cruise on the Spree. The park covers 84 hectares and it homes abundant lawns, rose garden, and tree groves. The highlight of the park is the war memorial which was built for the Soviet soldiers who dies in the Battle of Berlin and it homes a large ensemble of sculptures which includes a central area that is lined with 16 stone sarcophagi.
